The regular fade-ins in the Stuttgart crime scene episodes of the ARD have made the television tower of the state capital of Baden-Württemberg known throughout Germany. The tower opened in 1956 on the 485-meter-high ridge of the Hohe Bopser was a landmark of Stuttgart, but it had already been there before that. This is mainly due to its highly visible location and its striking appearance, but not only, because the view from the restaurant level and the viewing platforms of the city and the surrounding landscape is also interesting. In the first few years, the Stuttgart TV tower was therefore one of the most popular sights and excursion destinations in the region.
